Some MOSs have bachelor’s degree plans you can pursue directly without an associate degree. The advantage: No transfer concerns. The disadvantage: No degree if you stop short of completing your bachelor’s degree.
An associate degree's title (e.g., AA, AS, AAS, etc.) alone will not ensure successful transfer to a bachelor’s degree program - it depends on the correct matching of the 2- and 4-year programs' course content.
Read the Degree Objective statement on the Army Career Degree plan carefully. If questions remain, address them to the bachelor’s degree program you plan to enter after completing the associate degree. It is important to select the right courses based on considerations like: Are they intended to transfer? Do they have a place in your bachelor’s degree curriculum? Must they be taken in the upper division (junior or senior years) of a bachelor’s degree institution?
