ConAP
Concurrent Admissions Program
for Army Enlistees

Highlights include:

  • ConAP is a partnership between over 1,900 participating colleges, the Army Recruiting Command, and Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC).

  • SOC assists with implementation and management, and serves as liaison between Army recruiters, ConAP colleges, Army education centers, and the higher education community.

  • ConAP goals are to increase enlistment of college-capable active duty and reserve soldiers; increase the number of Army soldiers, veterans, and reservists enrolled in college; and increase the use of GI Bill education benefits.

  • A listing of ConAP colleges and points-of-contact.

Key Features of ConAP

  • Creates a plan for future soldiers to attend college and use earned GI Bill education benefits.

  • Links future soldiers to college at the time of enlistment

  • Colleges identify future veterans interested in attending their institution.

  • Colleges participating in ConAP are members of SOC. As such, they agree to use good academic practice in accepting courses from other colleges, use the American Council on Education Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services (ACE Guide) to award credit for military courses that fit a student's curriculum, and award credit for at least one nationally-recognized testing program.

  • The Electronic ConAP Form is now in place. Designed to automate the process of establishing prospective relationships between future soldiers in the United States Army and Army Reserve and over 1,900 colleges nationwide, the electronic form increases the number of possible ConAP contacts by more than 75,000 annually.
